Marshals for Auckland Half Distance Champs As usual club members are expected to do their marshaling duty, if you are unable to do it you MUST find yourself a replacement. I do not want to find out that you are unable do it the night before. If you are under the age of 18 you must have a parent or other person to do it for you. If there are any problems please email Amanda Tisdall on

Northland Camp July holidays Junior riders are invited to a road cycling camp for secondary school aged children at Opononi during the July school holidays. The camp is organised by Ruth and Jonathan Jarman (Marsden Wheelers Cycling Club junior development coaches). Each morning there will be a bike ride between 44km and 60km which will focus on becoming a better faster hill climber. During the afternoons there will be organised fun activities depending on the weather including a sand dune boarding expedition. Our aim is for the kids to learn cycling skills in a relaxed fun environment. On the last day of the camp the children will conquer a 340 metre climb into Waipoua Forest.
There is plenty of house accommodation available in Opononi if parents wanted to have a few days away. Weather will either be fantastic or wet but generally not cold.
Riders that are licensed are preferred as it is a club organized event – it is aimed at the U17 age group or newer less fit U19s plus keen younger ones with some endurance fitness.
