A good day of racing at Mauku on Saturday. Our apologies to those who missed the notice of venue change, a good reason to subscribe and read CMC E-news! We will never flood your inbox with rubbish.
Entries We had over 150 starters on Saturday of which 41 entered on the day! Please refer to club handbook re entry requirements as if we dont get enough entries early enough we will cancel races. It also makes it hard for our volunteers to organise start sheets etc. So please enter by Sunday night for the following Saturday, you do have until 8pm on Friday night to withdraw.
Club TT champs are next on the list on March 27th and you have until Sunday night to get your entry in so that a start list can be produced for all to view prior to the start. Please give your age group as per your license when doing entry, i.e Masters 3
Juniors Under 15 & 17 riders entering TT are reminded that your bikes must comply with the recent changes in Bike NZ regulations and to age group gearing. Check Bike NZ website for details if required. There will be a roll out prior to your starts. It is your responsibility to know and stick to these regulations. We will simply apply them.
There has also been some confusion over gearing allowed at club racing. Following is what we as a club will allow. U15 6.6 as per secondary schools rules U17 & 19 open gearing in massed start events. For all grades Bike NZ rules will apply in Open & Championship events such as Auckland 1000, Gallipoli Cup, Bruce Kent Memorial, Centre Champs etc.
License Sponsorship problems. If you have a license that does not show your sponsors name as requested please contact Karen McIntosh ASAP to have it reissued at no cost to you.
I am off to do the Northland Tour, a great 4 days of riding and fun with a few mates. Have a good weekend off racing and we will see you at Aka Aka Saturday week.
Stay safe & upright Chris Button
