Another dry day of racing at Ramarama, despite the forecasts and showers on the drive out, saw some good size bunches enjoy another Bombay hilltop finish. Some good practise before the Auckland Champs on the same course! Closing Day 3/10/09 @ Karaka This race has now been changed to a massed start for all riders A to E grade over 60km. However we will be running a "sealed handicap" between all grades to enable us to respect the Lapwood family and the Lapwood Cup trophy which has been presented over a significant number of years. The "sealed handicap" means that the winner could come from any grade and we hope this will encourage some good cooperation within the various grades to acheive this win. We will be paying out the usual prizemoney in each grade rather than the usual handicap situation. Please bring a plate for afternoon tea and remember that racing starts at 1:30pm

National Champs Entries for this also close shortly. An entry form is available here . October Marshalls Below are the marshalls for October. According to my records, most members who are active riders have now taken their turn at marshalling. The Auckland Champs will involve a long day and will need a great deal of cooperation for the marshalling to run smoothly. Jan Whitley will be out of the country until 30 September so changes for October need to be sent to Chris Button on phone: 021398500 or email;
